Want To Boost Your Psychic Skills? Meditate

There are a million and one reasons for not being able to meditate, but if you want to progress in developing your gifts, the fastest way to do that is to meditate. Am I the greatest meditator? Nope. But when I do take the time to do it, clarity and focus become easier, and I get more things done.

Most of us are running at full speed, trying to do all the things. Meditation is a full stop. It’s hard to do when so many things are happening, but it’s crucial that we give ourselves that moment to take a breath. We work hard to achieve the things we have in our lives, but we rarely have time to enjoy them due to the effort we continue to make to keep them or to obtain something else. We are constantly in “work” mode.

Meditation allows you to do “nothing” and gain a lot. It gives your heart, mind, and body time to sync. It’s a period of balancing. It’s easier to maintain balance than it is to obtain balance. Some of us thrive on extremes, but most of us don’t. We create our lives and everything in it. We do that with the energy inside of us. If that energy isn’t balanced, then our lives won’t be balanced either.

Taking care of yourself is how a balanced life is created. Your heart needs connection, and your mind needs challenges. Your body needs to have your nervous system in the parasympathic phase. It keeps us out of “fight or flight” mode. Meditation can give you all of that. It can calm the body, focus the mind, and connect us to all that is.

Meditation can be passive, which we’re used to thinking of meditation as being. Just sitting there, breathing, and doing our best not to think about anything. Then there is the kind of meditation where you set an intention and then sit there, breath, don’t think about anything, but pay close attention to discover what your “senses” tell you. You might have your eyes closed and get an image of something or hear something in your head that hints at what to do or where to go next. Meditation can help us do that.

Recently, I have been meditating every morning before I even get out of bed. That reminds me of another thing I want to address. If you are under the impression that you can only meditate if you’re sitting on the floor in the lotus position with a round cushion under your butt, it’s not true. The last time I tried to do that, my legs fell asleep, and the arthritis in my knees gave me hell for days. You can meditate in any position, anytime, anywhere. While certain conditions make it easier, they may differ for you. Some people like music, others don’t. Some prefer being outside, others don’t. Some prefer to meditate with a group, others do not. You figure out what works for you and do it. It also doesn’t have to be a set amount of time. It can be as little as two or three minutes. It takes practice to shorten the time unless you’re using a program or an app to help you.

Back to meditating in the morning. While I’m still a bit groggy, still remembering the crazy dream I had, I consciously switch into meditation mode and look for the silence inside me. Transitioning the brain from that point is easier as I’m not fully conscious. The brain hasn’t gone full beta waves yet, and it’s easier to drop back down into alpha or theta state where you can make manifestation happen. The only intention I set for myself is to work toward wholeness. I believe that within wholeness lies everything else I want or need for myself.

Although I have to say that while I’ve focused on wholeness, I’ve been experiencing images, voices, and emotions that are not mine or associated with me. It makes me think that I’ve been able to tap into the energy that connects all of us. I’ve only been doing it a few days and feel different. Overall, I’m calmer and more focused. I have to admit that I’m not the greatest at taking care of myself. There are many reasons, but it’s changing, and I’m all the better.

As far as my gifts are concerned, my psychic ability has gotten stronger and more direct. I haven’t been working with my ability to channel energy lately, but I will in a couple of weeks and it should be interesting to see if that changed. I assume it will, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it will. In the meantime, experiment and expand your horizons. Make a concerted effort and see what psychic boosts you get from meditation.
