Real life teaches me things constantly. One of the things I recently understood is how easy it is to get stuck in old patterns. I recently met someone who only talked about things and people from their past. Multiple conversations with that person covered the same topics, instances, and people. As this was a person I was supposed to be mentoring, I was trying to get to know this person and see where I might be able to help them make metaphysical progress. Instead, it was meeting after meeting, rehashing the same stuff. Then it hit me. They were stuck in a loop.
We, as metaphysicians, actively use all of our chakras. The level at which we use them varies. It depends on what’s happening in our lives. If we are struggling with anything, we focus our energy on the first, second, or third chakras. They are the energy centers concerning our safety, security, well-being, finances, and our relationship with ourselves and others. Once the things associated with these three chakras are stable, our energy naturally gravitates into the higher chakras.
The heart chakra allows us to develop deeper connections to those in our lives and opens us up to help others from the perspective of being able to separate our issues from those we serve. The throat chakra allows us to communicate our thoughts, feelings, and truth from the standpoint of the highest and best for all concerned. The third eye enables us to receive and relay information, again for the highest and best for all concerned. The crown chakra is our connection to Source and allows us to gain knowledge of all there is to use that information to serve others with our best efforts.
That doesn’t mean we are never petty, jealous, or mean. We are human, and every human occasionally struggles with thoughts, feelings, or actions they wish they hadn’t engaged with. If we have a tendency to do certain things, such as making others responsible for our feelings, blaming them for triggering our responses, or assuming they would be nothing without us, those are actions that are based in the metaphysical loop of death.
The loop consists of the first three chakras, the root, sacral, and solar plexus. They are the base upon which we stand metaphysically. Working with the higher-level chakras can be difficult if they are not stable. Due to the instability of the first three chakras, we can’t maintain the energy of the others for very long. People on a spiritual path who are primarily doing their own thing and not taking clients can get stuck in the loop and be there until someone helps them see the rut they are in and when they’re ready to get out of it. With metaphysical practitioners, it’s crucial that they can self-regulate to step out of that rut and actively work to dismantle that pattern.
Everyone is on their own path, and free will dictates what will happen and what will not. However, people who work to help others won’t be as effective with their clients if the practitioner themselves is stuck in the loop of death. Healers especially need to be aware of this. Energy channeled through a practitioner for a client has to pass through their body. If the practitioner doesn’t have their energy lined up with the higher frequency chakras, the energy that comes through them will either not be high enough to help the client or will only be a fraction of the amount of energy the client needs. Either way, this is doing a disservice to the client.
I believe it is the responsibility of the energy healer to maintain their energy at the highest frequency they can daily. It’s also crucial that they can work from at least the heart chakra level before working on clients.
We do go up and down in frequency. Our focus does change, often moment by moment. We are human, but we also need to have enough self-awareness to know where our energy is focused as we walk through the world. When we are worrying about something, that is third chakra energy. When we obsess over our finances, that is first chakra energy. These are common issues humans have, and there’s nothing wrong with them. The problem is when we stay there, when our thoughts, feelings, actions, and what we say come from the loop. The loop is a position of lack, where we feel we have to fight for whatever we want. Where there is never enough and not enough to go around. The only way we can have things is to take them from someone else, and having or obtaining power means dominion over others. This is the mentality of the loop.
People stuck in the loop keep talking about things and people in the past and how it affected them. It’s their story, and they are so comfortable with it that they become afraid to write something new, no matter how much they might want to or say they have. The story they tell is usually one where they are the victim. To tell the story repeatedly is a way of claiming the position of the victim, which locks energy in place and can create an energy block that later impedes the person’s efforts to progress in their metaphysical practice.
No one is perfect. All of us get stuck in the loop at one time or another. I’ve been there a few times until I realize I’m doing it, then make myself get out of it. It’s a default setting for most people. We can’t help it, but once we notice we’re doing it, it’s in our best interest to get out of the metaphysical loop of death.
