What You Call Into Your Life

One of the things that keeps coming up for me is having to recognize that my life consists of what I have allowed in it. It’s easier to say that whatever goes wrong in our lives results from some outside source. That doesn’t mean to say that things happen that we don’t expect or can’t anticipate. That is the nature of life. Things change constantly, and it’s up to us to decide whether we can roll with it or be run over by it.

The hardest part most people have difficulty with is understanding that everything that has occurred in our lives we have attracted or allowed on the level of energy. That is not the same as consciously choosing something. No one would consciously choose to have a debilitating disease or be in a fatal car accident. No one chooses to lose everything to fire, flood, or other natural disaster. However, on the level of energy, we did. This could be a soul contract we signed before we incarnated to give us the experience of such an event. It could also be that maintaining our energy at the current moment allows us to keep experiencing the level of energy we are projecting.

Have you ever noticed that lucky people continue to be lucky, and those who always have chaos around them continue to have more chaos? The reason is energy. Those who are lucky are usually optimistic and hopeful. They make the best of challenges by trying to find the lessons embedded within the experience. That doesn’t mean to say that they don’t get depressed or angry about their situations, but for the most part, they approach everything with the energy that either their situation is temporary, and they just need to work through it or that a resolution will be arriving soon. The overall energy projected by them is one of hope, growth, and possibility.

The people with chaos spend their time talking about it, rehashing it, reliving it, and complaining about it. The energy they project is primarily negative. Disappointment, blame, and helplessness are common attitudes. The victim mentality of “things always happen to me, and I can’t do anything about it” is also pervasive in chaotic lives.

We both can and can’t control what life throws at us. Things happen, that’s true, but depending on how we react to things can determine if something gets better or worse. It can also determine if the Universe sends us more chaos or peace. What surrounds us now is what the Universe sent us based on the energy we sent to it. Therefore if you want peace and serenity in your life, regardless of whatever is going on at the moment, you have to consciously send out peace and serenity in your energy. That way, when the Universe reflects the energy back to you, you get it.

The Universe is a mirror. It reflects back what we show it. Show it chaos, and that’s what you will get back. Send contentment. That is what you will get in return. Simple concept, but hard to do when you are immersed in whatever is happening at the moment.

Nothing is forever, despite what a diamond commercial might tell you. There is always an opportunity to have a different outcome from what you might expect. Sometimes, we can jump on the bandwagon a bit late, and things are already in motion. Still, if we alter our energy to reflect the best possible outcome, we can mitigate circumstances or allow other options we weren’t aware of to surface.

The Universe is infinite. It can provide many things at any time. We only need to be open and aware of them. That doesn’t mean you sit on your couch and wait to be rescued. It means that you do what you can with the intent that your effort will go toward finding a resolution for the highest good of all concerned. Note I said for the highest good. That doesn’t automatically mean everyone will be happy with the outcome, but it will ultimately be for everyone’s highest good.

Keeping your energy high when everything around you seems to be crashing is difficult but not impossible. Energy maintenance can be done with little things. Gratitude for little things is the easiest way to boost your vibration. Something as simple as, “I’m happy it’s not raining today,” or “I’m glad I was able to cross things off my to-do list.” You can think about the day’s accomplishments at the end by listing all the things you did that day. Include things like, “I got out of bed today.” It may seem silly, but hundreds of people can’t do that. Be grateful that you are not one of them. Take nothing for granted. If you walked the dog, be thankful for that. If you lay on the couch and petted the cat, be grateful that you could do that instead of putting out some “fire” in your life.

Everything is energy, and being conscious of our energy is for our benefit. Think about your overall energy. Are you optimistic or pessimistic? I used to say I was an optimistic pessimist. I don’t anymore. That sends contradicting energy, and I used to get mixed results. For the most part, I am hopeful, content, and curious. The Universe then sends me more things to be hopeful for, content with, and curious about. Occasionally, I run into people I consider “high-maintenance,” which I don’t care for. When I do, I look at my energy and see what I was projecting that allowed that person to enter my sphere of influence. It has taken me a long time to accept responsibility for my energy. Most people don’t realize they are creating their realities in real-time. When they do, they take steps to ensure they are vibrating as high as they can to draw positive things to them. Some refuse to accept that responsibility. You can imagine which of the two groups I described tend to have more chaos in their lives. Pay attention to your energy, and you can have a say in what you call into your life.
