Vow Of Poverty – Do You Have One?

Financial issues concern most people in one way or another. As people of power, we are conscious of the kind of energy we send out that attracts prosperity to us. We are concerned not only with our streams of income but also with the energy surrounding our finances. One of the things capable of derailing all of our efforts is a vow of poverty.

If you don’t know what that is, it is an agreement you make that states that in whatever you do, you will not accept payment for it. It’s a concept that is alive and well even today. Some religious organizations still embrace the practice. The important thing to note is that it is something that you could have carried through from a previous life. Most of us probably took a vow of poverty as we might have been part of the clergy in a past life. It could have also come from an agreement from our previous lives as shamans and healers. It was not uncommon for tribes and villages to take care of all the needs of their shamans in exchange for keeping the tribe healthy and protected.

Before we came into this lifetime, we signed soul contracts which are documents where we outlined the kind of life we wanted to live. More on this another time, but it’s where we put in the clauses for the conditions of our lives. One of those clauses could be a vow of poverty. The reason we would do that to ourselves is many. Some want to experience a life of hardship, while others put it in to give themselves the chance to discover it and get rid of it. Still, more may discover it and choose to leave it alone to consciously let it play out however it will. I’m not that person, I want a clear shot at prosperity and abundance. If there is something I can clear to make that happen, I’m on it.

It should be obvious why determining if you have a vow of poverty affecting you is important. It affects whether you can make and keep money. Back when we were shamans working for our village, it was okay not to have money. Our people took care of us. We now live in a completely different society. There is no guarantee that if something happens to you that someone will ensure you get the level of care you deserve. It’s to your benefit to find out if you have a vow of poverty working in your life. It will give you an opportunity to decide what, if anything, you’re going to do about it.

You can use muscle testing or a pendulum to check if you have one. The hard part comes with getting rid of it. There are several ways to do it. Find the way that makes the most sense to you and/or your abilities. The first suggestion is to go back in time and tear up the contract the vow is written on before you were born. You can visualize this during meditation. Check with muscle testing or a pendulum to see if it’s gone. Remember that all of this works with intention. If your intention isn’t strong enough, it won’t work. Here’s another tactic.

Sometimes we need to go further back. Ask your guides to help you go back to the life you had before this one, right before you died. Find the contract that was signed for that lifetime and break it there. If that doesn’t do the trick, go back further. Ask your guides to take you to the life where you first took the vow of poverty and break it there. This doesn’t affect your previous lives. If they chose to live by the vow, whether the vow is active or not, they have made the choice through free will, which would not disrupt the energy of that life. The point is to remove the power of the vow in your current life and will give you a chance to exercise the free will you have in this life. If you find a vow of poverty, you can use your free will to decide what you want to do about it. Even if you choose not to change anything, you’ve made the choice consciously. You will have taken control of one more aspect of your life which is always a good thing.
