When other healers ask me how I can tell if something is attached to someone, I tell them that I have an unfair advantage. I can see it. It’s only recently that I’ve worked on developing the ability to feel them too. Sometimes I miss things initially when I look for errant energy. It’s because I’m looking for something specific. Energy is everywhere and everything. If I don’t narrow down my field of vision, I get bombarded with images that I then have to try to make sense of. It’s exhausting. This is why I usually make several passes, slightly changing my focus each time to make sure I catch everything.
When feeling, however, all I have to do is distinguish between two options. What is mine, and what is not mine? When I’m looking at another person, the question becomes, what is them? What is not them? That’s the easiest way to break it down initially. Then I can use my vision to identify exactly what is not them that needs to be removed. Those who can’t see can still use that information to strip away whatever shouldn’t be there with the method they use to remove energy.
The problem most healers have is distinguishing what is mine and what is not mine? It’s due to not being aware of their own energy signature. I think of it as if I were investigating a crime scene looking for clues. I take note of everything, but to find out who the culprit is, I have to first eliminate who it’s not likely to be. Such as, if a crime occurred in a house, you look for fingerprints and see if you find ones that don’t belong to the people who live there.
How that plays out in a healing session is that the energies in the room should only be the client’s and mine. If there is a third energy there, unless I can identify my own and the client’s, I won’t find that third energy. As I mentioned before, to get things attached to us, we resonate at a vibration that entities find attractive. If I can’t distinguish what the client’s overall energy signature is like, I won’t be able to find the thread of resonance that connects them to whatever is attached to them. I’ve seen healers stand there wondering why all the energy they’re sending to the client feels like it’s bouncing back at them or hitting a brick wall.
What they don’t understand is that there is another entity that is blocking the client from receiving the energy. It could also be that the client is refusing the energy at the command of whatever is attached to them. Without being able to distinguish that there is another being affecting the session, healers are often confused, and the clients leave with only the minimum benefit from the session that they could have had. This often results in the healer turning away the client in the future, knowing that they are unable to help them or the client realizes that the sessions are not helping and decline to make future appointments.
I’ve heard healers tell clients that they were sorry, but they were unable to assist them. For some people, that is devastating news. If someone is looking for a healer to work on something, particularly something medical-related, it means they have explored the options presented by their doctors and are now looking for more or better options to choose from. It often takes a person some time to come to the decision to try something that is considered “alternative.” To hear someone tell you that they can’t help you with something you thought of as a “last ditch effort” is brutal.
A friend of mine has been working on fine-tuning her ability to detect negative energy attached to people and objects. She had spent many years wondering why energy was bouncing off or being deflected from her clients. She can distinguish the client’s energy, but not enough to be able to tell that there is something else as well. Once I pointed out to her where there was energy that didn’t belong to the client, she began noticing more often. The next step for her was determining how strong it was in relation to her own abilities. She was quickly able to tell when something was there and if she could remove it or not.
I completely understand if healers are disinclined to take on the energy of entities. Some people refuse to do it because they’re not trained or they don’t want to take on that level of dis-ease. Everyone has and must know their limits. This is a personal choice and one that each healer must make for themselves. It’s in everyone’s best interests to know how far someone’s skills extend and in what capacity. It’s possible to detect them and not remove them. Those are two different skill sets; some do the first part, but not always the second.
Again, it’s dependent on whether or not they are capable of removing the errant energy. That’s when the healer will tell the client that they either can try to work around that energy or are not able to help them at all, depending on what they find.
If you are a healer, you will have to make a decision on the direction you would like to take on this matter. If you decide that this is too much for you for whatever reason, that’s fine. I suggest you find a healer you know and trust that will take it on and refer the client to them for a session. That way, you can maintain the level of clients you’re comfortable with, and clients can still get the help they need.
Once you have determined your own energy signature, you will be able to discern someone else’s. From there, you can use your fine-tuned energy sensitivity to detect errant energy.
