Honing Energy Awareness

This is Part Three of The Energy Awareness Series

Now that you’ve developed some sensitivity to energy, it’s time to further hone that ability. Practice is really the way to do it. There are no shortcuts; everyone feels and describes things differently and progresses at their own speed in their own time. Keep this in mind when the human tendency to compare yourself to others comes up. Regardless of how fast or slow you progress, you can’t get it wrong as long as you don’t stop.

This phase of energy awareness requires you to slow down to really pay attention to the information your clair abilities are sending you. This is where comparing yourself to another person isn’t in your best interest because what can feel like a hum of energy to you can feel sharp or spiky to someone else. It may also radiate a particular color or have a sound. It could present as an image in someone’s mind as well. Now is the time to figure out which of your clair abilities is strongest. We all have them. It’s a matter of which of them is stronger at the moment. They do work in conjunction with one another, but one tends to stand out more than the rest in general, and the others may kick in depending on the circumstances.

The point here is to acknowledge the information you’re getting, recognize how that information is coming to you, either seeing, hearing, feeling, knowing, tasting, or smelling and then give that flash of information meaning. Once you figure out what it means, you can add it to your personal catalog that you will use over and over.

After you have identified what it means, when you get that feeling, image, or knowing again you can be certain that it will be the same thing as last time. For instance, when I work on someone and I sense what feels to me like a brick, then I know that person has an energy block in their body. Every time I feel a brick in someone’s body, I know it’s an energy block because that is what they feel like to me. Other people perceive that energy block differently. They may hear it as a discordance in the energy. They may experience it as presenting a higher or lower temperature than the rest of the person’s energy. All are descriptions and indications of the same thing. The trick is figuring out what your perception of something is to identify it next time.

If you’re working on becoming an energy healer, eventually, you’ll be able to detect errant energy in another person and identify it. If you’re working on refining the energy you project, once you get a feel for something, you can alter the vibration of your own energy to attract what you want. This is the domain of manifestation. This is where you can consciously get the law of attraction to work for you.

For now, your job is to work with your own energy to discern what is yours and what isn’t. We can take on the energy of others without meaning to and give up some of our own at the same time. It’s healthier all around if we keep our energy to ourselves and let others keep theirs as well. Decide what you want to use your sensitivity skill for, and then practice in the way you plan to use it.

The best way to start is to discern your own energy signature. If you’re working on becoming a healer, finetune that by deciphering the specific energy signatures of the parts your body. Every organ in the body feels different from every other. You can also practice on other people with their permission to help you distinguish. If you hope to use your skills for manifestation, try to sense the level of your vibration and work on raising it to the level of prosperity you’re looking for to attract it.

The next step in energy awareness is learning how to direct it and attract it. Try not to think of working with energy as controlling it. It’s not a servant waiting to be told what to do. It’s a partner you work with to achieve something. You set the intention, and energy gathers to help fulfill that intention. More on this in another post.
