When working with energy, it’s important to protect your space. I know that seems like a no-brainer, but you would be surprised how many people take it for granted that the space they work in is energetically safe to work in. I’m not only speaking of spaces where we work with clients, but also spaces in our homes where we meditate or work on ourselves.
It’s in our best interest to create a safe energy space to work. It allows the energy we’re working with to do what it needs to do without interference from outside influences. It helps us to remain receptive to whatever personal healing we seek or to help us be as clear as possible in channeling healing energy to another. If we don’t have a safe environment to work in, our focus ends up being split between protection and healing instead of just being able to focus on healing.
This was prompted by a friend who texted to say that they thought they had something attached to their leg. It was causing all sorts of energy imbalances for them, such as increased anxiety and an unexpected panic attack. These are not common things for them. When I looked at it, I saw a creature digging into their left leg and saw where they had picked it up. It is a place where my friend often does psychic/card readings for people.
In general, there will be negative and positive entities wherever people are. The positive ones help us, and the negative ones mess with us. Occasionally, they like our energy so much they want to go home with us and mess with everything in our lives. We can instinctively tell where they are lurking even if we don’t consciously notice the reason for our apprehension. It’s when we approach a building or walk into a room, and we don’t feel good about it. Some places are obvious, like bars. Sometimes, they feel fine when you walk into them, but the locations that have been around for a while have an energy that can make people uncomfortable with no discernable reason for the unease. It’s due to your energy system warning you away from entering that space or as a warning to protect yourself with energy before entering.
When setting up shop somewhere, even if it’s only temporary to do readings or energy work, it’s a best practice to clear the space and establish a perimeter of protection. That way, you can carve out your work area and create a Do Not Disturb sign for other energies/entities wanting to interfere. It also allows you to create an environment where positive, helpful entities such as angels, guides, and ancestors can enter to help however they can, making the session more beneficial for you and your client.
If you are at home and use a space for meditation, even if you feel that your house doesn’t have any negative energy, it’s still good for you to establish a clear boundary for the work. It helps you to focus your energy. It creates the container for the work you are about to do, which allows you to submerge your mind, body, and soul in higher energy frequencies. It will enable healing on many levels without your direct intervention. This is why people always feel better after meditating or doing energy work on themselves. It’s not just about the level of energy. It’s immersing in the energy that heals things we may not be aware of that need to be healed.
Failing to protect your space may leave you vulnerable to outside energies that can interfere with what you’re trying to accomplish by meditating. It can also leave you open to influence by negative entities that can affect not only your meditation session but everything else you do, including how you feel, what you say, how you think, and what you do. It can be avoided if you take a few minutes to clear and protect your space.
