Have you ever noticed that people either love storms or hate them? I think the reason for that is the same. Power. I happen to love storms. Keep in mind that I have never lived in areas where there are tornadoes, but I have lived through two hurricanes while I lived in Hawaii. I remember most people crawling into bed and throwing the covers over their heads. I wanted to go outside. During one of those hurricanes, I did. I stood there enjoying the power of the wind and rain before I acted like I had some sense and came in from the rain. I love thunderstorms the most. Not the flash flooding that comes with it in some areas, but how it charges the air.
As an energy healer, I love it! I feel the energy in the air and revel in it. I was watching a short documentary about a couple of men who are storm chasers in an area of the US known for tornadoes. I watched them speeding down the road towards where one might touch down to gather data. With adrenaline rushing through their bodies, they shouted like warriors running off to battle. They stared at the sky with baseball-sized hail bombarding their vehicles. Going as fast as they could, hoping to be there in time to launch their probe into the path of the forming funnel. I was excited and anxious along with them. They were able to get data from the storm they were chasing that day.
From the perspective of energy, mother nature has cornered the market. She is the ultimate authority in controlling power. She can make the tiniest of seeds grow and demolish entire cities. For this reason, we who depend on her exclusively to continue to live need to think about how our past and current abuses of the planet are affecting our long-term longevity. I know some people don’t care or they are too preoccupied with whatever drama is happening in their lives, but we forget that whatever we have going on right now is only for right now. It’s temporary. This thing we have going with the Earth is long-term. Therefore we need a long game kind of plan.
People are working toward mitigating climate change, pollution, and other important aspects needed to keep the Earth in tiptop shape. Even if you don’t want to get out there with your sign and protest plastics, there is something you can do. Direct positive energy to the earth. She is capable of doing her own healing, as is the rest of us. Sending energy to the Earth allows her to use it where she most needs it.
Another thought that meandered through my brain just now was whether or not, as energy healers, we could redirect energy. Think about it, when we hear about a hurricane threatening somewhere, as people who can channel energy, we pull energy from the storm and redistribute it over the surface of the earth to disburse it. I wonder if enough of us did it, whether it would have an effect. It would be a cool experiment.
Some people might get their undies in a bunch about me thinking about something that could result in loss of life as an experiment but step back from it for a second. If we could take some of the power from a natural phenomenon, that’s less power it would have to wreak destruction. By draining the power from destructive forces, theoretically, we could save lives.
This concept isn’t new. I’ve heard of groups of healers getting together to send energy to something at the same time, such as another skirmish breaking out in whatever war happens to be happening on the planet at the moment. The only difference would be that instead of drawing energy from the universe, it would be drawing energy from the storm and redistributing it over the earth.
My thought is that the energy from the storm was designated as storm energy. Meaning the intention of that energy is already set. Our job would be to weaken the storm system and to take that energy because it has to go somewhere and distribute it over the entire Earth to prevent that energy from consolidating again and causing trouble elsewhere. At least that’s my logic about that. You can comment below and tell me if I’m crazy or if you think I’m on to something.
The other thing about storms is the fear factor. I have a friend who can’t stand when the wind blows hard. It’s because he used to live in an area where the wind would sometimes be strong enough to tear roofs off homes. Whenever the wind picks up, he gets nervous. I also worked with a woman who grew up in a California area that had a lot of earthquakes. She hated it so much that she moved out of the state. Anytime the building we were in shivered for any reason, her earthquake reflex would kick in, and she reacted in whatever way was appropriate for where she was in the building. Her fight or flight reflex was in charge, and she did what she needed to do to ensure her survival. No one can blame her for that, but it was fascinating to observe.
If you’ve been reading my blogs, you know my stance on fear and doing our best to control it, but I also understand that it’s not always something we can control. Our reptilian brain is still working, and once it takes over, we are running in survival mode, and no amount of logic can change it until whatever threat we perceived has been neutralized. Storms can trigger our scaly brain to wake up and cause us to become nervous or on edge. Except for people like me who want to step outside and shout to the wind to bring it on!
Storms and natural phenomena are becoming more prominent in our lives. When there is flooding in the Mojave desert and extreme drought in traditionally soggy places, we need to consider the condition of our planet and what she needs to “right the ship.” Of course, it’s possible that the crazy weather we’ve been experiencing is Mother Nature doing that on her own. Scientists have been coming up with fossils that tell the story of how Earth used to be more like where we’re currently heading. Perhaps what we’re living through is a correction of some kind. One that in some cases is proving to be deadly.
Whether you love them or hate them, the next time the sky opens up, think about the energy contained in the power of storms and what, if anything, you might want to do with it.
