It seems as if we are asked by the universe to make a choice. We have three options, we can be happy, healthy, or prosperous. We all are or know people who are usually two of the three but are rarely all three. So many people are healthy and prosperous but not happy. There are those who are happy and healthy but not prosperous and those who are happy and prosperous but not healthy. Why the hell can’t we have all three? I don’t think it’s greed to want to live life the way I want. Some would say that I should be grateful for what I have and stop whining.
I am grateful for what I have, believe me. Considering what I had before, I’m living large right now, but it’s not perfect. I know that it’s never going to be. There will always be something that annoys me, or something I wish could be different. That’s true for everyone, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for a good life.
Things on that list change depending on who you ask, but for the most part, I believe people are happy when they don’t have to worry about financial concerns. Meaning if the pipes burst during winter, they have the money to get them fixed, or they have enough money for a sweet retirement. Also that they are healthy enough to continue doing whatever it is they want to do with their lives, whether it be jumping out of airplanes or gardening,
We also know people who have no money and are in poor health but are optimistic anyway. Good for them. They have a kind of strength that God gave out while I was standing in a different line. I was probably waiting for something with gravy on it. Happy, healthy, and prosperous are often connected to one another, but they don’t have to be.
Due to one’s circumstances, you might be able to be healthy or prosperous, but you can always be happy. Admittedly, it’s damn hard to do, but it is possible. During the times when you are healthy and prosperous, that can definitely bump up the happy quota. The trick is to keep your level of happiness as high as you can, regardless of whatever is going on around you. Tough to do when it feels like the whole world is crashing down on you.
Following the law of attraction, however, puts you in the driver’s seat. If you can maintain your happiness in whatever way you can, then other factors of your life, such as health and prosperity, will rise to the occasion. If we can do that, then when the universe asks us to pick two, we can say instead that we will take all three, please and thank you.
What do we do when something is bothering us, and we can’t let go of it? That is when you ask the universe to take it from you, to relieve you of the burden of it. Then move your mind onto another more pleasant topic like your favorite song, book, or movie. Take that little bump of happiness and move on with the rest of your day.
Work on a happiness jar. If you have spare time and want to do something for yourself, make a happiness jar. Bring a notepad, a pen, and a container. Use what you have. Take the pen and write down your favorite things, best memories, whatever. Write down things that remind you of good things, happy things. Fold them up so you can’t see them and put them in the jar. When you’re having a bad day, you can pull a few out, read them, get that bump of happiness, and put them back in the jar for another time.
Why do this? With happy, healthy, and prosperous, we only have immediate control over happiness. The other two can be dictated by circumstances beyond our control. I already hear some grumbling that we can take absolute control of our health. Really? If you fall and break your leg, you won’t be running on it for a while, depending on the condition of the break. As far as prosperity goes, you can only make money that your job, your body, and your time allow. Side hustles not included. If you work too hard, you can kiss your health goodbye, and then when you stop working because of health issues, you can say adios to your prosperity. The only thing we can control, regardless of our circumstances, is happiness.
Once you get happy going, everything else in your life will benefit from it and improve as well. That has been the experience of many people, myself included. I encourage you to try monitoring your happiness level. Do what you can to keep it elevated and see what happens. That way, when the universe asks you to pick two, you can firmly say, no, I want all three, please.
