Does LOA Really Work?

The Law of Attraction works all the time if the many gurus in metaphysics are to be believed. In my own life, I have witnessed things that seemed like a coincidence, but since I don’t believe in coincidences, the only other choice is that they are connected. In principle, it seems simple to create the life you want. Everyone says, “All you have to do is this…” and poof, magical manifestation. It could be that simple, but I have never personally found it to be that easy. At least, not usually, but there are times when amazing things have happened that I wanted to happen and they appeared as if by magic without any physical action on my part.

Case in point, I’m a published author, but as of this writing, not a particularly successful one. I do sell a few books here and there, but I’m currently not a literary superstar swimming in my money like a famous Disney duck. However, what I am is more aware and conscious of my energy and level of vibration.

Stick with me here. I’m doing this in a roundabout fashion. Watching YouTube videos with Esther Hicks and Abraham encouraged me to consider the state of my energy in relation to how I felt. I’ve heard before about how one directly affects the other, but like most things, the information went in one ear and out the other. Some of it finally settled into my consciousness.

I worked on feeling better about little things, and I mean little, like that I had managed to cook dinner or tossed in a load of laundry. It seems trivial, and it was, but it was important to me. I have issues at the moment, expensive ones. If I think about them and worry about them all day long, I would curl up on the floor like an overcooked shrimp and bawl like an infant. These are things that I can’t do anything about right now. It’s like living with the sword of Damocles over my head. I have wished on occasion that the damn thing would drop and put me out of my misery. Then I shifted gears. The problem hasn’t changed, but my focus has. I work to keep my mind and energy on things I can do, things I can handle. To contemplate things that make me happy, spark my interest, or make me laugh. In doing that, I’ve also noticed an increase in my book sales.

Could the two things be totally unrelated? Logic says, of course, it’s a coincidence, but remember, I don’t believe in those.

What am I saying? I believe that changing my focus in the smallest of ways is moving me in the direction I want to go. It makes sense that if I could manage my energy well enough, there is a possibility that the law of attraction could work in my life in a greater capacity.

Having an open mind when dealing with metaphysics is a must. It also requires someone to be a little adventurous. Delving into the mysteries of one’s own mind and soul is not for the faint-hearted. I’m a big fan of experimentation and first-hand experience as long as it’s done consciously and with forethought. I challenge you to experiment with the LOA yourself and see what you can experience.

Try to be fair about the time you allow before you declare the experiment a success or a failure. With my experiment, which wasn’t actually one I set out to test. It was an observation. The time was 30 days, and it’s now been closer to 50 days, and it still seems to be churning along. Give the LOA the chance to work in your life. If nothing else, it will give you another perspective of your life that you never thought of before.
