I bought this book years ago, but I don’t remember reading it then. I bought it to be a part of an abundance study group. We were going to use the book as the central point of study to discuss points, try new things, encourage one another and hold one another accountable. For whatever reason, the group never got off the ground, and the book went into my bookshelf, never to see the light of day.
Recently, however, I, like many people, have been having issues with abundance and prosperity, more accurately, the lack of it. I have to say that I’m grateful that the Universe has been good to me. I have had everything I needed when I needed it. I know this will continue, but what I’m looking for is to go beyond making things just in time. I’m looking for surplus, true financial security. Yakking in a blog might not be the way to do that, but I need to empty out my brain and I thought maybe someone out there would benefit from my musings if only to prompt their own.
This tiny book, it’s less than 85 pages cover to cover and measures 4 in by 6 in is not a large tome by any stretch of the imagination, but it packs a lot of punch in its diminutive pages. A lot of it consisted of citations from the bible about wealth and abundance and how it’s our birthright to claim riches for ourselves. I’ve heard it before, and there’s nothing wrong with it. What I got out of it was that mindset and consistency were the primary keys to abundance.
What was different about this book was that it contained an actual plan. For those of us who like definitive action, the book tells you exactly what to do. Of course, it doesn’t promise you that if you do what it says that you will get what you want, but it will get you into better alignment for what you want or something better. It all depends on whatever is the greater good for all concerned. If it’s not in everyone’s best interest for you to get what you hoped for, the universe will give you a different option or lead you to a different narrative.
I haven’t tried it for myself as it takes 40 days to do the plan. If the testimonies in the book are to be believed, you may see results before the end of that time. Also that if what you’re hoping for is something big, you may have to go a second or third round before it manifests if it’s going to. I’m impatient and, strangely enough, in the “prove it” mindset despite spending a lot of time working with the unseen forces that share space with us on our plane of existence.
It’s not that I have to do something, it’s that I have to do something consistently for 40 days. My staying power is debatable. The only thing I’m consistent about is being inconsistent. All right, I admit, I can be a flake. I’m a superstar in a one-off thing, but going at something on a regular basis is a challenge. Then I went and started a blog, hmmm…
The debate between myself and myself still goes on as to whether I’m going to take a crack at it, but I would recommend it for someone who has a need to get on the abundance track and is looking for a specific plan to get there. The plan doesn’t seem too hard, and if you have the determination and the patience to wait 40 days for the mana from heaven to rain down on you, get the book and do it.
